Using this site
For those not familiar with wikis, this is the same software that runs wikipedia - the worlds largest encyclopedia. So relax. It's easy to use and you can't break it. If you want to be a contributor, for now anyone can sign up. You just have to go up to the top right hand corner of this screen and you should be able to figure it out. If you can't drop me a note by clicking on this link.
I'll be adding to this as I get some time and we'll be working on making it look nicer. A couple of pointers
- Use the discussion pages. When you want to comment on a page either after an edit or even if you don't edit, use the discussion page to put your thoughts down. For example, the discussion page for this page talks about the overall design of the wiki, it's purpose and how the content should be structured.
- Watch things. Play with the watch tab to help you keep an eye on a page, pages or section.
- Wiki basics gives you some background on wikis and how they work.
- I've never done this kind of thing before absolute beginners ask questions. We try to give answers. See if they match.
Consult the User's Guide for information on using the wiki software.
